Your Community Library

Welcome to the Lisbon Hepburn Library

Our mission is to enlighten and empower by providing programs and services that engage, educate, and enrich all members of our community and beyond.

Over 105 years after our library was established by A. Barton Hepburn, we still hold the same primary value – to be the central resource for education, life enrichment, and social connectivity.

Programs & Services

Books, Video & Digital Media

Our collection rivals those of larger libraries with a specially curated group of books for all ages, and the largest Blu-Ray movie and television collection within the North Country Library System. In addition, we have a growing collection of Overdrive/Libby digital downloads, and we lend board games and jigsaw puzzles for summer game nights and quiet winter afternoon activities.

Adult & Youth Programs & Activities

Our creativity has no bounds with card-crafting classes for adults and a steady stream of in-house and Take & Make craft kits for all ages. Our community room is busy many days with local service group meetings hosted by the Lions Club, Trappers, Lisbon Homecoming, and others, plus drop-in crafting and creative days featuring games, puzzles, building blocks, and more.

Technology Resources

Our high-speed internet provides 24×7 access to those needing connectivity during and outside of library hours – just bring your own device and connect to our open network from the comfort of your vehicle. We host two public computers for those who prefer desktop access, and offer printing, copying, and lamination services useful to our many homeschoolers and small business owners.
